Our Roots and Mission

At Everyday Brain Fitness, we are dedicated to empowering graceful aging by focusing on fall prevention and balance improvement. Founded by Julie Carda in the heart of the Midwest two decades ago and fully established in Oregon in 2011, our program specializes in evidence-based fall prevention techniques and offers a wide range of holistic mini-therapeutics integrated with the elegant 8 Form Tai Chi Quan for Better Balance. Julie adeptly leads seniors towards achieving physical, mental, and emotional independence with grace, respect, and dignity.

Meet Julie Carda

Founder and Instructor

Julie Carda holds a master’s degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN and is a certified Geriatric Wellness Instructor from Western Oregon University Northwest Rehabilitation Associates, with over 30 years of experience in aging wellness. Specializing in fall prevention, brain fitness training, and pain management, Julie is also an ACE Senior Fitness professional with proficiency in therapeutic modalities like Low-Level Laser Therapy, Dance for Parkinson’s, and Tai Chi. She is dedicated to a holistic aging wellness approach, incorporating Montessori-based Dementia Care, the essentiALZ program, Iyengar Yoga, Integrative Brain Dance, and Davis & Strydom brain training techniques.
